St Joan of Arc Children's Statue

  • $18.99

St. Joan of Arc was born in Domremy, France in 1412. Raised in a devout Catholic family, she heard the voices of St. Michael, St. Catherine, and St. Margaret commanding her to free the English-ruled city of Orléans, leading to the coronation of Charles VII as king of France. Driven by these spiritual orders, she won several battles but was arrested by English allies, the Burgundians, in 1430 and sentenced to death by the Inquisition for supposed heresy and witchcraft in 1431. In 1920, Pope Benedict XV canonized Joan of Arc.
